On arrival at FGCW, I didnt know what to expect but as days went by, i made friends very easily and then realised I was in a good place. I was always happy, very playful and naughty, but thank goodness for the disciplinary measures and rules/regulations we needed to abide by which I believe taught me many life lessons and shaped my leadership/survival skills years later. My experiences at FGCW made me the smart and intelligent "young" man I am today.

After GCE at FGCW, I did "A" Levels (1984) at FGC Odogbolu. From there I read BSC Geography and Planning (1988) at the University of Jos. I also have a Post Graduate Diploma in Land Surveying and Hydrography (1991) from the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.

I got married in 1996 to Mary Ame Omigie - Medical Laboratory Scientist. We have two sons (Victor Jnr, 22yrs - Final year Aero Space Engineering at Charlton University Ottawa Canada, Anthony 20 yrs - Computer Science student at ALGONQUIN COLLEGE OTTAWA and a daughter Theodora - Starting Biometrics Engineering next month at University of Alberta Edmonton. We are a very happy and connected family.

I have previously worked at Western Geophysical Nigeria Ltd., Environmental Resources Surveys Ltd., Essay Surveys Nid. Ltd., Integrated Data Services Ltd. (NNPC sub), Chinese National Petroleum Co. Nig. Ltd., Rockson Engineering Nig. Ltd., Geodetic Positioning Systems Nig. Ltd., Westerngeco Int. Resources Inc. (Schlumberger sub) and Freelance Consultant Worldwide. In my current job, I am a Navigator/Surveyor ensuring that data acquired for clients are accurate and within specifications. I also engage in providing tender loving care to people with special needs.

I believe today's youth should follow their passion, be honest, confident, humble and work very hard towards excellence. Once I am done with raising my kids, i look forward to returning to Nigeria to help in community building.
